Janhvi Kapoor has finally broken her silence over the disturbing AI-generated video involving her, which surfaced online recently. The manipulated clip, created using footage from Devara’s popular song ‘Chuttamalle’, featured the actress in sexually explicit visuals that were completely fabricated. Condemning the misuse of technology, Janhvi highlighted how the circulation of such non-consensual content has become an increasingly serious threat to women in the digital age.
Her Body, Her Choice
In her statement, Janhvi stressed that “consent, choice and respect for a woman’s body should be among the most basic notions of humanity.” She pointed out that a woman saying yes on one occasion does not mean her boundaries can be ignored later, while her clothing or appearance can never be treated as permission to objectify or digitally exploit her. “What a woman is comfortable with, where she draws the line and what she chooses to do with her body are decisions that belong exclusively to her,” she asserted.

Janhvi also expressed gratitude to Jr NTR for taking a strong stand against the deepfake and condemned those responsible for creating and circulating such material. She thanked Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda and Khushbu Sundar for amplifying the sentiment and calling for action against such practices. Ending on a powerful note, Janhvi asked, “Is it really too much for a woman to ask to simply be treated and seen as a human being?”
